I took the exciting step into entrepreneurship last summer and began my own art studio, Danica Oudeans Art. It has been almost a year since took the first steps and it has been such a rewarding experience. I have had the opportunity to work with both budding and professional artists from every generation. Offering art instruction in rural areas that would not otherwise have the chance to explore creativity through after school classes, private lessons, and community art projects. I have enjoyed using my experience teaching at the university to reach new generations of artists throughout Wisconsin!

My own creative work has also flourished since beginning the art studio! I have had many wonderful opportunities to show my current work including a solo exhibition at a new local contemporary art gallery, being selected to be a part of several juried exhibitions, and I look forward to a solo exhibition at Silver Lake College this coming fall.

About Me

I am an award winning art educator with a Masters Degree in Fine Art. I have worked with students of all ages and levels to teach techniques in painting, drawing, and mixed media art. My instruction is centered around your goals as an artist, whether you are an experienced professional artist looking to advanced your color theory, or a budding artist looking to gain instruction on how to draw things in proportion. I also offer portfolio reviews and in-depth critique sessions that can further your ability to speak concisely and powerfully about your creative process and work.  Portfolio and critique sessions are perfect for high school students applying to art schools or emerging artists looking for professional high level feedback.
